Here are the pictures of the kids with Santa at the Library last week. As you can tell by their faces they were both scared of Santa!
I am done with my first quarter back to school! I had my last two finals last night and I don't start up again until the beginning of January. It will be a nice break before I start having to go to class Mon-Thurs nights. I Can't wait to get my RN!
I had an interesting and scary experience yesterday. I was at the grocery store with both kids. I only had a few things left to get on my list and I was saying something to Adeline but she wasn't responding. So I crouched down next to her and as I kept saying her name she was just staring at me. Her eye started twitching and then she started shaking (which really started to freak me out) and all of a sudden her mouth opens and she throws up all down her coat and into my hands (don't ask me why I felt the need to try and catch her vomit! ha. Guess it was just instinct! I was able to keep it from going everywhere in the cart though.) She was really cranky and fussy on the way home and laid on the couch and slept for 3 hrs. When she got up I took her temp and she had a 101.2 fever, but she seemed to be doing much better. She was fine the rest of the night except for her fever and when she woke up this morning the fever was gone and she was back to her old self. I have no idea what it was she had. It lasted for such a short time. It was so weird how she was non-responsive and shaking before she threw up, but my only reasoning for that is she hasn't thrown up since she was a baby, so she had no idea what was going to happen and why her body was feeling the way it was. Glad it wasn't anything serious because it really scared me!
Ryder is getting into everything! He crawls everywhere...pulls him self up on everything...and can stand for a few seconds on his own. He probably falls and bumps his head at least 5 times a day but rarely does he cry! He is a tough boy :) Everyday he is learning something new. I feel like he is advanced for his age, but he probably is right on schedule with everything he is doing because all I have to compare him to is his sister who was such a chubster that she didn't even roll over until she was 6 or 7 mo! So Ryder to us seems advanced :) I forgot how fast he was growing up that I was still feeding him stage 1 foods when he should really be eating stage 3! haha. That partly happened because I didn't start feeding him food until he was 6 mo. and I just now figured out a daily feeding schedule that works well for him. Needless to say he is on stage 2 foods right now and is quickly progressing to stage 3 :)
Here is a picture of our big boy last night while I was at school. Matt took it with his new Droid 2 phone, that he is obsessed with!
