Christmas Cookie Baking
Last week my friend Abbey and her two kids, Noah and Adalynn, came over to make Christmas cookies. Adeline and Noah had a blast decorating. We made sugar cookies and gingerbread men. They were pretty tasty eventhough they didn't look the prettiest! Noah and Adeline also had a fun, little time opening all the presents I had wrapped that I thought were safely put away in the corner of my room! So much for getting the wrapping done ahead of time :)
That night as I was laying in bed with both Adeline and Ryder, they fell asleep in my arms. That is probably a one and only time thing and I really cherished it! As I lay there holding them, I was thanking God for the greatest two little blessings in my life. I am so lucky!
Adeline is 2 1/2 and really has no interest in the potty. I started introducing potty-training about a year ago. She had done really well and I thought she was going to be potty trained soon, and then she back tracked. After the new year, I am really enforcing it. I never wanted to force it because I knew she wouldn't do it until she was ready, but I really need to encourage it and go about it in a different way, even if that means her going diaperless and having accidents in her panties! The other day when I was changing her diaper she threw a fit because she wanted her "diaper full of tinkle back on." I told her she was gross :) She has never cared about sitting in a dirty diaper!
Ryder is still struggling sleeping through the night. He wakes up on average 2-3 times. I just started this week letting him cry-it-out. It's so hard to hear him! Hoping after a few nights of it, he won't wake up anymore! I would love to go to bed and not wake up until the morning.
