The first one

I've been wanting to start a blog for awhile.  There are several reasons why I wanted to. When I told Matt I was starting one he told me I was weird and dorky :)  He thinks only dorks blog, but he really doesn't know :) Anyway, I thought this would be a good way for our families to keep up-to-date on our lives. Being busy with kids and school, its hard to remember what I tell who, so this will be a way for everyone to be informed. I want to try and blog everyday, but we will see how long that lasts! I'm thinking it will be more like 3 or 4 times a week ( depending on how much time I have! ).

I love reading different blogs and I always thought I would cherish being able to look back at my blog 20 years from now and remember what was happening in our lives then and what I was thinking and feeling.  I'm sure as I look back and re-read them, there will be embarrassing posts, along with ones that will make me laugh or feel really sentimental.  This is in a way my journal.  I tried keeping a journal once but I think that lasted about a week.
I also want to use this blog for posting recipes.  I'm always telling either my dad, mom, or mother-in-law new recipes I've tried and ones that I should give them, but a lot of times I forget! This way I will eventually have a list of recipes that I've been meaning to share for a while.

I hope to add more pages to my blog, as time goes on. Not sure what I want them to be.  I would like to put up a DIY projects tab, but how often do I do those? and not sure I'm creative enough or have the time! I think it's the fact that I like looking at other blogs that have DIY projects, so I feel I should have one too! I think I'll leave it to my creative sis to have a page like that on her blog :)

We are going to the zoo this weekend, finally! For the past month we have told Adeline every weekend, we are going and something has come up, but so far nothing has come up yet for this weekend, so we are going! Hopefully I'll have some fun pictures to post :)
