We had Ryder's party two weeks ago, since it was the only weekend we had available in March. His actual birthday is tomorrow. It was just a family party and we had around 25 people there. I made most of the desserts and thankfully they all turned out edible! We went pretty simple with the main course to save money...burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, chips, fruit and veggie trays, ice tea and lemonade. My bro-in-law made dried apples and beef jerky and both were so good! Ryder got a lot of great presents (his mower being the favorite!) and he thoroughly enjoyed his cupcake! I loved watching him get it all over his face. Adeline, on her 1st birthday, wouldn't even eat her cupcake! His party theme was "Woodland Creatures." I was able to use a lot of stuff I already had for the decor and I borrowed a ton of stuff from my bro-in-laws room which is a deer/woodland theme.

I made this banner and didn't spend a dime making it. Nothing great, but it worked!

This picture is dark, but it is the only one I have of Ryder in his full birthday outfit. He got hot in his Mt. Ranger jacket and couldn't walk too well in his bear claw boots.
I made the puppy chow, chocolate-dipped pretzels, butterscotch haystacks, and s'mores cupcakes (I concocted a recipe for the cupcakes and they tasted good, but I would change it up a little bit next time, and change the marshmallow icing because it was too sweet and really runny.) We also had pecan tarts, swiss cake rolls, vanilla and moose tracks ice cream.

The party turned out great! Thanks to the in-laws for letting us use their home yet again :)
Everything looks great! :) Especially the dessert spread. Great job on such a cute party!
