Oasis of the Seas

Last week Matt and I went on a 7 day Royal Caribbean cruise. This is the 2nd year we have gone on this cruise with a company Matt buys products from called Nutrablend. It's a free cruise plus we get totally pampered and spoiled so it would be dumb to turn the offer down! The night before though, I told Matt there was no way we could go because I was going to miss the kids too much. 8 days being away from your kids when your used to being with them almost 24-7 is hard! Especially with Eliza only being 4 months old. Thankfully they were in great hands with Mark and Nan watching them. I am so thankful for Matt's parents whom I can totally trust therefore never having to worry about the kids not being taken care of! I missed the kids terribly, but it was also really nice to spend time with just Matt.
Our ports of call were Nassau, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. We snorkeled in St. Thomas which was fun and while were there, I was spoiled by Matt who bought me an upgraded wedding band :) The ship was called Oasis of the Seas and it's the biggest cruise ship ever! I didn't even feel like we were on a ship. It has 21 pools and Jacuzzi's, 2 flowriders, a zipline, a carousel, central park with living plants and birds, a bar that would move from one level to the next while you were on it, and so much more! It was so nice being able to just relax, take naps and not do a darn thing all the while being on an amazing ship! There were only a few sunny days the whole week which was a little disappointing, but it didn't stop me from laying by the pool! :)
I can't tell you how nice it was to see the kids when we got back though! I had butterflies in my stomach on the way to pick them up because I was so excited to see them :) After being gone for a week, I was ready to jump back in the role of being a mom and housewife! I enjoy being a busybody and taking care of my kids, husband, and home.

Two days after we got back was my birthday...I turned the big 25 :) Birthday's aren't nearly as exciting as you get older :)

My sister Brittany and I have been doing a bible study at our church on Sunday nights. The topic is Jonah. When I first heard the topic, it didn't sound too interesting...the whole story of Jonah is that he got swallowed by a big fish because he was running from God, right? Was I totally wrong! There is so much more to the story. I have been so encouraged through this study. The book is by Priscilla Shirer and she is amazing. I would definitely recommend anything written by her! Hopefully when I have the time, I can share some things I have been learning.
